another upside down drawing
Posted by Adam Ainbinder in Goals on January 1, 2009
ok, so it’s not great, but at least you can tell what it is. i must admit, this is sure teaching me a lesson. it’s weird right braining things by looking at their lines and shapes. but man it’s a worthwhile experience. opens up your eyes!!
just like the picasso drawing, what’s amazing about this is the perspective…a knight sitting on a horse in motion. there is a sense of dimension, seeing part of his feet and the horses front legs look in front of the others. and this is drawing it upside down! if i drew it looking straight on, it would probably look like a martian (aka, my self portrait)
Not your typical New Year’s

Don’t know if anyone saw this, but I came across this on ESPN this morning. This is just amazing. And don’t stop the video after he gets on top of the building because he comes back down (I KNOW????!!!??!!?)
just goes to show…live life!
It’s official…666.4 miles
Posted by Adam Ainbinder in Life on January 1, 2009
that is how far I ran in 2008. 666 miles! that’s cool! I think about that, and it seems like a pretty good distance. It could get me to San Francisco and halfway back. it would get me to Vegas and back with 120 miles to spare.
i don’t know if I’ll ever run this many miles in a year again because I’m now focused on cycling and swimming as well. but it sure feels like a great accomplishment racking up that much over a full year.
i also want to tell you about two products: Garmin 305 and Trailrunner (Mac Only). These products when used together can really motivate you. I’ve used them to train, understand my heart rate zones and how to handle elevation, and most importantly, I’ve used them to find new trails to train, and that’s kept my workouts very interesting!
