- Equipment was the real deal, but never got the funding and critical mass to make this a very successful business
- Wrote the business plan and tried to raise money for the company, but started my finance career before I could do anything with it

- Got into investment banking to learn finance, but after working here that I wanted to be on the corporate side
- Left after a year to try and start a company
- Highly valuable experiencing that gave me a highly valuable toolkit in finance, excel, and presentation/formatting that I’ll use throughout my career
- Name I would of given the company if I got it off the ground
- Goal was to create a monster.com type database for college coaches to recruit high school athletes
- Tough business model – who pays? coaches may not feel they need it, and if you charge players, then only the wealthier kids are on there. Tough to make it work
- Tried it for a month and realized it may have been ahead of its time, but based on recent front page WSJ article, maybe it wasn’t ahead of its time
- Pre-employment background screening company that went public in August of 2007
- Learned the fundamentals of business and accounting
- Key participant in the public process
- Great team of people and developed some great friendships that I will have my entire life
- Focused primarily on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, but I ended up as a jack of all trades and helped most functions with whatever analysis they needed
- Developed advanced reporting packages that helped increase the overall value of the company when sold to USIS in 2008
- Market leader in delivering secure identity
- Main business focused on security solutions for physical access and now logical access
- Still in finance, but focused more on business analytics
- Currently analyzing data warehouse solutions, and trying to develop a metrics framework for improving decision making
