Why Follow Me?

DSC_0184Most blogs need themes to develop an audience. I struggled with developing my theme for many months, and I realized that as a student of training, I can also be a teacher while I learn. Follow me if you want to learn how to balance life, training, and work and still accomplish your goals.

If that isn’t enough, maybe my story can resonate with you. I have been in a finance career for about 7 years now. I’ve recently passed the 30 year mark in my life, and although I’m very good at my job, I’m also looking for more out of my life than just work. I’ve recently devoted quite a bit of time to training, and I will share my journey to complete an Ironman in less than 12 hours as well as complete a marathon in less than three hours.

I believe that everyone is meant to be something here on earth, and I’m searching for what that is. I thought the best place to start was to get the stuff out of my brain and into this blog so that others with similar feelings may be able to identify with what I’m saying and share their own experiences.

I want to hear from you. Leave me feedback. Find me on twitter, linkedin, or facebook. I will always try to respond and learn from you! As my best friend taught me, everyone you meet is a teacher!

Hi Adam. Nice blog, I like your piece about VO2 and Science. It looks like you had a New Leaf Assessment done which is the company I work for. Love the feedback about your workouts, glad to see you are enjoying the information you got from the assessment. One small correction….AB refers to Aerobic Base (or sometimes referred to as Cross-Over Point.) Keep up the great work with your blog, you give great information!

have an idea for an argumentive podcast about triathlon, would love to have you on the show and you can argue the side of wearing an ipod during races. think of PTI or around the horn style discussion not really argument but kind of a debate. let me know if you would be up for it
